Vision
Elea is a design studio dedicated to creating interior objects, rooted in a slow and poetic approach to the everyday. We believe that beauty arises from what takes time. We celebrate texture and imperfection through work that invites contemplation and objects imbued with soul and meaning, hoping to turn each moment of everyday life into a brief ritual. Each piece is a fragment of raw poetry, an invitation to slow down.
Craftsmanship
Our pieces are handcrafted in France, in small batches and to order, with great respect for the rhythm of hand and material and an emphasis on raw textures, simple forms, and organic tones. This approach is not just a production method, it’s a philosophy. It anchors the brand in the slow, grounded rhythm of making, and shapes an intimate connection with materiality. Each piece reveals its own texture, balance, and character. We work exclusively with natural materials in a sustainable approach, with no waste. Each piece is designed and developed in our workshop in Bordeaux. Most of our ceramics are fully handmade there, and we also collaborate with other artisans to bring new collections to life, always true to the studio’s DNA.
DNA
Elea’s universe draws its inspiration from archaeology, ancient artefacts, fossils, and other remnants of time. Our ceramics engage in a dialogue with the past while fully existing in the present. This approach is reflected in the names of our collections, inspired by the Phoenician alphabet — considered the first alphabet of humanity — as a way to pay tribute to ancient civilizations and their sacred relationship to objects. Through organic forms and mineral palettes, rooted in a raw aesthetic and subtle imperfection, our pieces are shaped to celebrate the present moment as well as the passage of time. Our creations integrate seamlessly into contemporary interiors, bringing warmth, meaning, and depth.
Genesis
Elea Lelimouzin is the founder of Elea Studio. Fascinated since childhood by archaeology and ancient artefacts unearthed from the past, she creates pieces that are both timeless and sensitive, deliberately imperfect and imbued with a raw poetry. Objects that could have travelled through centuries, while naturally finding their place within contemporary interiors.
